A series of metal flower sculptures are now in place in a San Antonio park. City leaders and community members gathered at Blossom Park yesterday to appreciate the "Bloom" Public Art Series. Local artist Leticia Huerta made the flower sculptures out of bicycle parts and other bits of metal. Her sculptures include the Texas thistle, firewheel, and prairie celestial flowers, all chosen by the community through surveys. The flowers join 20 other sculptures in the series in parks throughout San Antonio.
