Cowboys linebacker Leighton Vander Esch is likely headed to injured reserve. ESPN reports that Vander Esch could miss four-to-six weeks due to a neck injury that he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said that the 27-year-old will likely hit IR, which would rule him out for at least the next four games. Vander Esch has a history of neck injuries, missing seven games in 2019 and three games last year due to the issues. McCarthy said that Dallas will explore adding a veteran to the second level of the defense.
