President Biden is defending his administration's move to build more border wall on the Texas border. The president told reporters today the money had already been appropriated and DHS was required to use those funds for what it was intended for. He said he tried to redirect the money but was not able to. Congress appropriated the funds in 2019 for construction of border barrier in the Rio Grande Valley. Biden promised during his 2020 campaign he would not build "another foot of wall" during his administration.
