Dane Dunning shined on the mound and the Rangers belted three home runs en route to a 5-0 shutout win over the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim. Dunning earned his 12th win after totaling seven strikeouts and allowing just three hits over seven innings of work. Evan Carter, Adolis Garcia and Marcus Semien went deep and combined to drive-in all five runs for Texas. The Rangers improved to 89-and-69 and remain atop the AL West. They will travel to take on the Seattle Mariners tonight. Left-hander Jordan Montgomery will take the mound for the series opener. He will start opposite Seattle righty Logan Gilbert.
