Yordan Alvarez mashed his 31st home run of the season as the Astros beat the Mariners 8-3 in Seattle. Alvarez hit a solo shot in the fourth inning, while Martin Maldonado and Mauricio Dubon also went deep in the victory. Kendall Graveman earned the win in relief after starter Framber Valdez allowed three runs over four frames. Houston improved to 87-and-72 and now sits two-and-a-half games back of Texas in the AL West. The Astros travel to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks tomorrow night.
