Quinn Ewers completed 18-of-23 passes for 293 yards as the Longhorns defeated Baylor 38-6 on the road on Saturday night.

Ewers ran for a touchdown and passed for a touchdown in the Texas victory. Jonathon Brooks scored a pair of touchdowns and ran for 106 yards. Ja'Tavion Sanders caught five passes for 110 yards to become the first tight end in Longhorn history with multiple career 100-yard receiving games.

Texas is now 4 and 0 on the season and 1 and 0 in the Big 12.

KEY STATISTICS

• Jonathon Brooks started the scoring for Texas with a 40-yard run. It was his 10th career touchdown and he now has four career touchdowns of 34 or more yards.

• Quinn Ewers ran down the sideline for a 29-yard score to put Texas up 14-3.

• Xavier Worthy passed it 35 yards down the field to Ja'Tavion Sanders, which set up a seven-yard rushing touchdown by CJ Baxter for his first career touchdown.

• The Longhorns stopped Baylor on fourth and two as they took over at the Baylor 46 and went the distance with Brooks scoring his second rushing touchdown of the game to put Texas up 28-3. UT took a 28-6 lead into halftime.

• A Bert Auburn 37-yard field goal on the Longhorns' opening drive put Texas up 31-6.

• Ewers connected on his first passing touchdown of the game, a 21-yard strike to Xavier Worthy. The Longhorns went 95 yards in 3:28 for the score and increased the lead to 38-6. The touchdown for Worthy was his 24th in 29 career games.
