The mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas says they're flooded with thousands of migrants. Mayor Rolando Salinas Jr. of Eagle Pass has declared a state of emergency in the town, where he says over 2,500 migrants crossed over the Rio Grande on Wednesday to get into the U.S.

City officials say they have only one shelter to accommodate the migrants, and that many have been released onto the streets.

Mayor Salinas says some of the migrants were able to cut through the razor wire that had been installed along the river by the National Guard, and that once they did, it "opened the floodgates."
