The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hopes a planned new terminal at the airport will bring in some new nonstops. The San Antonio International Airport offers about 40 direct flights, with a nonstop to Philadelphia starting next summer. Construction on the new terminal is scheduled to start next year. The city's fiscal 2024 budget includes 292-million-dollars for the airport system, which also includes Stinson Municipal Airport. Jesus Saenz, the city director of airports, says he constantly works on getting more nonstops.
