Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is making political hay out of support from Donald Trump. The former president on Wednesday stated his support for Paxton in the midst of his impeachment trial in the Texas Senate. On Thursday, Paxton send out a fundraising message on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating how glad he is to have Trump's support. Closing arguments in Paxton's impeachment are expected today.
Paxton's post said, "I’m happy to have the support of President Donald J. Trump in my fight. I need your help today to finish this week strong. Please chip in today!"
