The impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton continues today in Austin. Paxton has pleaded not guilty to the 16 charges against him. On Wednesday, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick excused Paxton's alleged mistress Laura Olson from taking the witness stand. Paxton's attorney Tony Buzbee denied the claim that real estate investor Nate Paul bribed Paxton by paying for renovations to his Austin home. The prosecution then rested its case. The Republican-led state Senate will decide whether Paxton will stay in office.
