The Rangers notched their third straight win. Texas defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-4 in the series opener at the Rogers Centre. Starting pitcher Dane Dunning recorded his 10th win of the season after striking out seven and allowing three runs through six innings. Jonah Heim led the way at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI. Rookie left fielder Evan Carter hit his first career home run in the win. The Rangers improved to 79-and-64. Right-hander Max Scherzer will take the mound for Texas tonight.
