The Astros scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth en route to a 12-2 win over the San Diego Padres in Houston. Jose Altuve had a home run and three RBI in the victory, while Kyle Tucker drove in two runs. JP France earned his 11th win after surrendering just one run on four hits in six innings. Houston has a two-and-a-half game lead in the AL West at 82-and-62. They will host the Oakland Athletics tonight. Left-hander Framber Valdez will start the series opener.
