The impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton continues today in Austin. Paxton has pleaded not guilty to the 16 charges against him. On Thursday, Paxton's former deputy first assistant, Ryan Bangert, testified that his boss had ordered him to devote more time to Paxton's political donor Nate Paul than to work on a major lawsuit against Google. The Texas House impeached Paxton in May, and the Republican-led state Senate will decide whether to remove him from office. The trial is expected to last for weeks.
