The Texans are adding some protection for their franchise quarterback. Houston acquired Kendrick Green from the Steelers on Tuesday. NFL Network reports a sixth-round pick is heading back to Pittsburgh in the trade. The interior lineman was selected in the third round of the 2021 draft out of Illinois. He started 15 games in his rookie season, but fell down the depth chart after Pittsburgh signed Mason Cole last year. Houston's latest move comes one week after trading for tackle Josh Jones as the team continues to build an offensive line around second-overall pick C.J. Stroud. Notable cuts for Houston included defensive end Chase Winovich and linebacker Cory Littleton.
