The Mavericks are moving on from a veteran big man. Dallas waived center JaVale McGee on Tuesday after one season with the team. The 35-year-old averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 42 games last season. The three-time NBA champion was originally signed to a three-year, 17.2-million-dollar deal in 2022 that was made with the intention McGee would be a starter in Dallas' lineup. The journeyman will now be looking to sign with his ninth different NBA franchise.
