The Astros fell to the Red Sox in extra innings. Houston lost to Boston 7-5 in 10 innings at Minute Maid Park. Kendall Graveman was charged with his sixth loss after he allowed three runs, two earned, in the top of the 10th. Martin Maldonado hit his 10th home run of the season on a two-run shot in the second inning. Jose Abreu went 1-for-5 with an RBI in his return from the injured list. The Astros had a two-game win streak snapped to fall to 72-and-56. They will send right-hander J.P. France to the hill for the series finale against Boston this afternoon.
