The top pass rusher in the Class of 2024 is making his verbal commitment. Five-star defensive end Colin Simmons announced his commitment to Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns on Thursday. ESPN's seventh-ranked recruit in the Class of 2024 chose the Longhorns over other top programs such as LSU and Miami. The Duncanville High School product recorded 33 tackles for a loss and 22-and-a-half sacks during his junior season last fall. Simmons becomes the program's first five-star defensive lineman commit since Jackson Jeffcoat in 2010.
