A large brush fire has forced an evacuation in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park. Cedar Park Police called it a very active situation and urged residents to stay away from the area. Cedar Park Fire Chief James Mallinger said more than 20 agencies were brought in to bring the blaze under control, but not before an apartment building was destroyed and several others were damaged. In addition to local firefighters, the Texas A&M Forest Service was called in to assist in battling the blaze. One minor injury was reported.
