The Texas Rangers made more moves at the MLB trade deadline on Tuesday. The Rangers traded right-hander Spencer Howard to the New York Yankees in exchange for cash considerations and acquired catcher Austin Hedges from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for international bonus pool money. The team also activated new trade acquisitions Max Scherzer, Chris Stratton and Jordan Montgomery. In corresponding moves, Texas optioned pitchers Cody Bradford and Yerry Rodriguez to Triple-A Round Rock.
