Bexar County sheriff's deputies are in for a pay raise that will reportedly make them among the highest paid in the state. County Commissioners unanimously approved 9% raises for deputies working in the law enforcement and detention bureaus on Tuesday. The Deputy Sheriffs Association of Bexar County ratified a contract amendment that provides the pay increase, with 95% of the membership voting in favor of it last month. The pay raise will cost the county nearly $10 million.
