Austin Mayor Announces $65 Million Investment To Combat Homelessness

The city of Austin is investing $65 million to combat homelessness. Austin Mayor Kirk Watson says there are more homeless encampments than there are shelters. The city plans to expand emergency shelters and provide more resources for people experiencing homelessness. The funds were invested through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
