The Astros beat the Texas Rangers for the second consecutive night to trim the Rangers' lead in the American League West to one game. JP France earned the win after throwing seven shutout innings while Ryan Pressly notched his 24th save of the season after surrendering a pair of runs in the ninth. Martin Maldonado and Kyle Tucker each crushed solo homers as Houston improved to 58-and-44. Houston will try to pull even with the Rangers with a series sweep tonight at Minute Maid Park.
