The Texans have signed their new franchise quarterback to his rookie deal. The NFL Network reports that Houston inked C.J. Stroud to a four-year, $36.3 million contract one day before the team was set to begin training camp. The fully-guaranteed deal includes a 23.38-million-dollar signing bonus that he will receive upfront. The second-overall pick in April's Draft is in a position to win the starting job in camp with Davis Mills and Case Keenum as the only other two QB's on the roster.
