The man who fatally shot 23 people and wounded 22 others at a Walmart in El Paso is expected to be sentenced in federal court today. Patrick Crusius admitted he targeted Hispanics in the 2019 attack, using an AK-47-style rifle and hollow-point ammo. Survivors and relatives of victims came face-to-face with the shooter in court this week. Crusius pleaded guilty in February to 90 counts in exchange for a sentence of 90 consecutive life terms. He could still face the death penalty when the state of Texas prosecutes him.
