Rangers Roll Past Red Sox In Opener

The Rangers snapped a two-game slide after topping the Red Sox 6-2 on the Fourth of July at Fenway Park. Dane Dunning was credited with the win after striking out four and allowing one run over six innings. Will Smith secured his 15th save of the season after recording the final out of the game. Mitch Garver led the way at the dish after going two for two with two walks, a three-run homer and four RBI. Texas is now leading the AL West at 51-and-35. Right-hander Jon Gray will take the mound against Boston tonight.
