Dallas Stars Sign Forward Scott Reedy

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed forward Scott Reedy to a one-year two-way contract, which will run through the 2023-24 season.

Reedy, 24, split the 2022-23 season between the San Jose Barracuda and the Texas Stars, Dallas’ development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). He recorded 13 points (5-8--13) in 38 games with the San Jose Barracuda before he was acquired by Dallas via trade on March 3, 2023. He finished the year with Texas, posting 10 points (6-4—10) in 18 regular-season games and adding two points (1-1—2) in eight games in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound forward has amassed 58 points (34-24--58) in 111 career AHL games with San Jose and Texas and set career highs in goals (18) and points (18-9--27) in 38 games with the Barracuda during the 2021-22 campaign.

Originally selected by San Jose in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft, Reedy earned nine points (7-2--9) in 35 career NHL games with the Sharks. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 22, 2021 vs. Carolina and scored his first career NHL goal (1-0--1) on Feb. 27, 2022 vs. Seattle.
