Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed forward Nick Caamano to a one-year two-way contract, which will run through the 2023-24 season.
After missing the first four months of the 2022-23 season due to injury, Caamano, 24, recorded 11 points (2-9—11) in 29 games with the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). He also appeared in eight games in the Calder Cup Playoffs, sharing the team-lead with four goals and sharing second on the club with six points (4-2—6) in the postseason. Over five seasons in the AHL, Caamano has played 191 regular-season games and tallied 31 goals and 75 points (31-44—75). He has also appeared in 36 NHL regular-season games with Dallas, recording three points (1-2—3) and 58 hits. Caamano has skated in four Stanley Cup Playoff games, averaging 12:25 time on ice and recording 13 hits with three shots on goal.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound native of Ancaster, Ontario was originally selected by Dallas in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
