The Rangers put an end to their three-game losing skid. Texas defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-3 in the series opener at Globe Life Field. Ezequiel Duran and Adolis Garcia both homered in the win. Josh Sborz earned the win despite being charged with his second blown save. The reliever totaled three strikeouts and allowed one earned run through two innings. The Rangers are atop the AL West at 48-and-31. They will send right-hander Dane Dunning to the hill against Detroit tonight.
