A new poll shows half of Texas voters believe the state House's impeachment of Attorney General Ken Paxton is justified. The U-T Austin survey released on Tuesday found that 50% of voters consider the impeachment justified, and 17% disagree. A third say they don't know or have no opinion. Among Paxton's fellow Republicans, 31% say the impeachment is justified, 30% say it isn't, and the other 39% say they don't know or have no opinion. The House impeached Paxton late last month. His trial in the Senate is scheduled for September 5th.
