The Astros cruised to a win in their series opener against Washington. Houston defeated the Nationals 6-1 at Minute Maid Park. Starting pitcher Hunter Brown earned the win after striking out four through seven scoreless frames. Mauricio Dubon, Martin Maldonado, Chas McCormick and Kyle Tucker each homered in the win. Houston has won two of three to improve to 38-and-29. They will send left-hander Framber Valdez to the hill against Washington tonight.
