The Astros lost their series finale against Toronto. Houston suffered its third straight loss with a 3-2 letdown to the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. Alex Bregman hit his ninth home run of the year in the losing effort. Starting pitcher Framber Valdez fell to 6-and-5 after surrendering three earned runs through five frames. Yordan Alvarez left the game early with oblique discomfort. The Astros remain second in the AL West at 36-and-27. They will visit the Cleveland Guardians tonight with right-hander Cristian Javier slated to start on the mound.
