A mother of three children was shot overnight after complaining about loud music being played in the apartment above her at a complex on the city's northeast side.
It happened about 2 a.m. today at the Arcadian Apartments off East Loop 1604 North near I-10.
Police said the victim had gone to the apartment to ask for the music to be turned down, when an argument erupted and spilled onto the parking lot. That's when the woman was shot in the chest.
Police say she was able to make it back to her apartment where one of her children dialed 911.
A suspect fled the scene and is still being sought.
