The U-S Department of Education is granting another million-and-a-half dollars to the Uvalde CISD. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona announced the grant on Wednesday, the anniversary of last year's deadly shooting at Robb Elementary. Cardona says the department provided the same amount last year to support the community's immediate needs, and is continuing the same level of support for students, families, and teachers. The funds come from Project SERV, which stands for School Emergency Response to Violence.
