San Antonio-area schools are receiving millions of dollars in federal grants for campus safety from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Sen. John Cornyn helped create the law, and he was in San Antonio on Tuesday for a tour of the Cotton Academy to see the safety upgrades the law has paid for. San Antonio ISD received one of the original grants last year. The law provided for a nearly $11 billion investment in mental health for Americans, as well as resources for other schools around Texas.
