Valdez Throws Complete Game Shutout, Astros Blank A's

Framber Valdez tossed a complete game shutout as the Astros blanked the Athletics 2-0 in Houston. Valdez allowed just four hits and struck out seven batters to improve to 4-and-4 on the mound. Jose Altuve knocked in a run and also drew a pair of walks in the victory. Houston swept the three-game series and has won seven straight. The Astros improved to 27-and-19. They will hit the road to take on the Milwaukee Brewers tonight with right-hander Cristian Javier slated for the start on the hill.
