The City of San Antonio is hiring more lifeguards and outdoor pool supervisors as summertime approaches. Right now there are 230 lifeguards in the city's Aquatics division. San Antonio's Park and Recreation Manager Sara Sharp says that's OK, but 300 would be better. The pay ranges from $17.50 to $20.27 per hour, depending on the position, plus a $500 hiring incentive and $75 for swimwear. Applicants must be at least 16 and be able to pass a lifeguard certification pre-requisite test. There's no deadline to apply.
