The federal government is stepping up to stop a surge of illegal immigration at the Texas-Mexico border. A Pentagon Spokesman says another 950 troops will arrive by the end the month, most of them headed to El Paso. A pandemic-era public health rule called Title-42, which had been used to expedite deportations, has been allowed to expire. Since last Friday, the Border Patrol has been making about five-thousand arrests a day.
