Assessment of Storm Damage in Laguna Heights Continues

The assessment of damage caused by the tornado that touched down in Laguna Heights, Texas near Brownsville this weekend has begun. Authorities say one person was killed and at least eleven others were injured by the EF1 tornado that touched down in south Texas early Saturday. The one fatality was the first one recorded in this century in the Rio Grande Valley. The twister had wind speeds between 86 and 105-miles-per-hour. Crews are working to restore power in the area as the search continues for more victims.
