The City of San Antonio is moving ahead with eminent domain proceedings against a bar near the Alamo. City attorneys filed the condemnation petition on Wednesday on behalf of the Texas General Land Office to acquire Mose's Roses Hideout. The city, the state agency, and Alamo Trust are in a partnership to redevelop Alamo Plaza, and the bar is in the project's path. The bar's owner, Vince Cantu, and his attorney claim the city doesn't have the authority to use eminent domain in this case, and they plan to fight it.
