The Texans are locking up one of their offseason acquisitions long term. ESPN reports that Houston is signing guard Shaq Mason to a three-year, $36 million contract extension that includes a $10 million signing bonus. The Texans acquired Mason from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March for a sixth-round pick in last month's NFL Draft. The 29-year-old spent the first seven years of his career with the New England Patriots after being selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. He has started 115 games throughout his eight-year career.
