The Texans owner is shutting down a rumor that has circulated throughout the league. Cal McNair told the media that the rumors that he demanded the team select C.J. Stroud second overall were not true. McNair said that Houston has "a great group of scouts" and the team decided to move up "when they saw the value was there and moved back." The Texans went 3-13-and-1 last season with disappointing play from the QB position. McNair believes the Texans have "a better roster this year."
