San Antonio voters overwhelmingly rejected Proposition A, defeating the measure by a 72% margin.

The proposition called for decriminalizing marijuana possession and abortion. It also expanded the city’s cite-and-release program. In addition, it would have banned no-knock warrants and chokeholds by law enforcement, created a “justice director” job at City Hall and required police to issue citations for certain low-level, nonviolent offenses instead of making arrests.

72% of voters said No, with only 28% saying Yes.
