Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick says the Texas House isn't moving fast enough to advance bills as the 2023 legislative session's deadlines start to approach. The Houston Republican leads the Senate, and is concerned that bills that made it through House committees but haven't been considered before the full chamber may run out of time. Patrick says the House has passed more than 11-hundred bills through committees but hasn't yet set them on the House calendar. The deadline is May 11th.
