The union that represents San Antonio Police officers is spending big bucks to defeat Proposition A on Saturday's ballot. The so-called San Antonio Justice Charter aims to decriminalize marijuana and abortion, expand the city's cite-and-release program, reinforce existing bans on no-knock warrants and choke holds, and create a new "justice director" position. The San Antonio Police Officers Association created a political action committee to fight Prop A, and has spent nearly $2 million from the PAC on ads in the media.
