The Rangers failed to put an end to their losing skid. Texas was taken down by the New York Yankees 4-2 at Globe Life Field in the series opener. Ezequiel Duran and Jonah Heim each recorded an RBI in the losing effort. Starting pitcher Andrew Heaney fell to 2-and-2 this season after letting up three earned runs over six innings of work. The Rangers have lost four straight to slip to 14-and-11. They will send right-hander Jacob deGrom to the mound tonight to face off against the Yankees.
