The Houston Texans selected Ohio State's C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday night. Stroud totaled over 81-hundred passing yards with 85 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in three seasons with the Buckeyes.
The Texans then traded with the Cardinals to get the No. 3 overall pick and chose Alabama's Will Anderson. Anderson racked up 34-and-a-half sacks in three years with the Crimson Tide.
Prior to the Texans selections, the Carolina Panthers selected Alabama quarterback Bryce Young with the first pick in the NFL Draft. Young, a former Heisman Trophy winner, has been the favorite to go number one overall since declaring for the draft in January.
