San Antonio's Proposition A is expected to boost voter turnout for the May 6th election. The controversial proposition would amend the City Charter on matters related to policing, as well as decriminalizing abortion and marijuana. It appears on the ballot as a complex condensation of the 13-page proposed amendment. Mayor Ron Nirenberg says he plans to vote against Prop A. City Attorney Andy Segovia says most of its provisions, including its efforts to decriminalize pot and abortion, are unenforceable.
