Elon Musk is confirming that the launchpad at the SpaceX complex in South Texas was heavily damaged by last week's liftoff. A cloud of silt and sand was blown miles away from Boca Chica Beach. Musk said on Twitter that they have been building a steel plate that will go under the rocket, but it was not ready in time. He's vowing to launch again in one-to-two months.
