The Rangers erupted for a dozen runs for the second straight day to complete a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals. Texas defeated Kansas City 12-3 at Kauffman Stadium to notch its fourth straight win. Jonah Heim hit his third home run of the season and drove in three runs in the win. Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez improved to 3-and-1 this season after letting up three earned runs over five-and-two-thirds frames. The Rangers are atop the AL West at 12-and-6. Texas starts a home series with the A's tomorrow night.
