One former five-star recruit is pulling away in the race for the Longhorns' starting quarterback position. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian told the media that "it's pretty clear to say that Quinn's our starting quarterback" and that the team feels "very good about that." Quinn Ewers completed 16-of-23 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown in Texas' spring game on Saturday. The second-year starter has been competing against true freshman Arch Manning for the starting spot.
